Design features

Armament – a semi-automatic smoothbore gun “Zarnitsa” and machine guns paired with it are installed on the machine; electromechanical two-plane weapon stabilizer; combined (day and night) sight; day sight of the commander. Protection – at the BMP-1 level.

Chassis – engine, transmission and chassis are similar to BMP-2.
