Location: Moscow region, Kubinka – Golitsyno – Seliatino** (about 1 hour by car from Moscow). Military tank polygon area and Tamanskaya motorized division.
Notification: since 2016 the tank museum collection was VERY enlarged and located in the different areas, separated from each other by 12 kilometers. You need the car/ guide to visit all areas. Like the few separated museums. The visiting for all ones takes a time…

Warning! Some days the whole museum or the halls in HQ (such as German tanks etc.) or in other military areas (such as Patriot Park) could be CLOSED without any notification. The reason – the moving to the new hangars or the official delegations or no light/ electricity)

Foreigners should note that the state special authority permission is required in 5-6 weeks before visit. Only your passport (ID) and the 1 copy (photo or xerox) you must give to the officer at the entrance. (the cash-desk with the money) Since 2017 May 1, not required
You can visit museum without the request in 5-6 weeks advance!
* Any attempts of the citizens of NO Russian Federation (including former-USSR) to visit the area outside of the museum sites could be qualified as the UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS. The violator could be accused in the ESPIONAGE. In all halls there’re the video-camera control and the FSB (former KGB) officials. .
**A difficult system of the local trains network and the lack of ads in Russian language can lead to the fact that a tourist without knowledge of Russian language can be in a different location remote from Moscow. Sometimes being in the platform of the RR station and even inside of the local train wagons (“electrichka”) as unaccompanied way may not be safe. Especially the Asian type tourists from China, Malaysia, Japan .. Foreigners are very attracted to crime. For your security it is recommended to use a Russian speaking escort or the car with the English speaking driver (or guide). Note, that usually, Russian people (cashiers, security, taxi drivers, museum staff etc.) do NOT speak English 🙁

Standard excursions – 4500 Rubles (apr. 55 Eu) English speaking guide (6500 Rbs Chinese * speaking guide) duration 2-3 hours (tank HQ area ) or 60-90 min (Patriot park area) Temporary not available Book a tour in Russian and look for a guide-translator.
Entrance fee for non-Russian citizenship: Tuesday — Friday – 1500 Rbs (ap.23 USD), Saturday — Sunday –1700 Rbs (ap.28 USD). Each photo (video) camera – 350 Rbs (ap.6 USD).
Since May 1-st 2017 fee is decreased, but you have to pay separately for all sites: 400 Rbs (6 Eu) for HQ, 500 Rbs (7 Eu) for Patriot park, 300 Rbs for VKS, 200 Rbs for Partisan village etc.) Car parking fees as the schedule (special events etc.)
* Chinese speaking guide is temporary available for the official government/ military delegations ONLY
The big part of the tank museum collection was moved to the new locations into “Patriot park” military area. We recommend to visit whole area/ collection, you can do it with the car/ guide.

You hire a car with an English speaking guide who will take you in the hotel in Moscow, transfer to the museum, organizes a tour and take you back to your hotel or restaurant.

Instead of the public transport (difficult and dangerous without the Russian language) you can hire a car with a guide (Traditional since 1996 year way to visit the museum). It saves your time (the way by the car takes about 1 hour only) and you will see match more sites. The road passes through the traditional military-historical zone. Your guide tells the story of the creation of the first Russian and Soviet tanks, the history of the tank museum in Kubinka and polygon, as well as about the collections of the armored cars/tanks/AV in the Moscow region and other cities.

If your travel program let you to spend for Kubinka only 1 day. You will visit all main sites/ exhibits in one day. Partisan village is not available.. Total charges, approximately, for the main sites of Kubinka HQ + Patriot park:
For 1 person -13400 Roubles (180 Eu), the group of 2 persons – 95 Eu for each visitors and for the group of 3 persons –70 Eu for each visitor. (Parking fees are changeables).
All charges include the entrance fees, the permissions for the photo (video) camera, sightseeing tour around the museum/ patriot park, the car with a driver (gasoline and parking fees) from hotel/ transfert between sites/ to hotel or any your point.

We DO NOT recommend the tour with the young children and the old people (or invalides). The reason: you have to walk whole day and the new strong road police rules for the car. Please, inform us in advance. If you really want it – we will try to help you and schedule the special program (additional charges for the children seat as request)
How to see the whole collection of Kubinka tank museum
Some exhibits of the World famous Kubinka tank museum collection are “temporary” located in the branches, the local museums or in the other federal military museums. F.e., the pre-WW2 heavy KV-1 and KV2 “temporary” since 1972 years are in the Army museum. The T-34 was provided for the Prokhorovka battlefield exhibition.
Some USSR (and trophies) military vehicles are missing in Kubinka, but you can see ones in the other military museums. See the list below.

– 1-st day. T-34 museum (outside of Moscow). Introduction to Russian tank building since WW1 Lebedenko model till now. WW2 engine (“parovoz”) with the tank plateforme. You will learn famous T-34-85 inside with the guide. The Battle for Moscow (west) and the Lenino-Snegiri museum. You will climb up to the real German Tiger (Pz-VI) and make the photos! We can provide you the WW2 uniform for your filming.
-3-d day. Army museum. All about Russian Imperial army and only one original WW1 armored car (you can see inside!). All about Red army, uniforms, banner etc. Stalin and Jukov tunics etc. All about German/ Third Reich. Original tank/infantry famous banners (including “Das Reich”, “Adolf Hitler Leibstandard” etc). Huge outdoor expo including KV-1/ KV-2 (ex. Kubinka collection), armored train, WW2 “Katusha” and Cold War AV’s. Afternoon: WW2 vehicle museum: Russian “Dora”, armored trains, WW2 soviet/ German/ Japan tanks and AV’s found on the WW2 battlefields.
– 4-th day. Kubinka (HQ) + Patriot park (see above)

- Stalingrad. Famous name but no many sites to visit 🙁 Only 1 small historical museum, “Pavlov house” ruins, the big famous monument. That’s all. And the new museum, the real HQ of field marshal Paulus in the basement (cellar) of WW2 Stalin supermarket. Official name “Pamiat” (memory). We recommend (!). 1-2 days tour is enough to visit all sites. Stalingrad tour is expensive, because you need aircraft tickets (train tour is more cheaper, but the RR way takes 20-24 hours.

This is a real military tank ride training system, like we use in 4-th Guard Kantimirovskaya tank division or 2-nd Taman Guard infantry motorized division (WW2 participans, famous the battle for Stalingrad etc.)

The real tank cabine with the road view and the blows on every bump
Your English speaking military guide (if you book the individual tour from Moscow by the car with the guide) do the basic traing for you on the standard military traing system T-62 “skeleton”. You occupay the driver place and listen your instructor. After 5-15 minutes training you are ready to occupay the T-80 real cabine and start your ride. Through the intercom your guide will translate all military coimmand of the local tank instructor. You follow the English commands and have the T-80 tank ride real military training. Report, result and mistakes you made. Takes 15-20 minutes. And 250 rouble extra fee for each tank ride.
